Abstract

This article clarifies and differentiates the concepts of the «archetype of the poet» by the example of the personality and creativity of Abay Kunanbayev. In this paper, for the first time, the origin and formation of the archetype of the poet in Kazakh literary studies is considered on the example of a real (and not literary) personality. The concept of the «archetype of the poet» is understood as a kind of dynamic changeable model existing in the cultural space. This provision does not contradict the definition of C.G. Jung and modern interpretations of the archetype in literary studies.

The archetype of the poet is understood as a certain outstanding genius personality, which, due to its inherent individual qualities, may possess a number of symbolic, archetypal properties that place the personality of the poet (genius) in the timeless paradigm of culture. Thus, the archetype of the poet is considered from two positions due to the duality of his nature, namely, the presence of some initial, a priori properties and qualities in the archetype of the poet, and at the same time – the possibility of introducing new features into this archetype by the personality itself.

Thus, the scientific and practical significance of the work consists in clarifying and differentiating the concept of the «archetype of the poet» on the example of the personality and creativity of Abay Kunanbayev, in further using the research materials to analyze the philosophical and aesthetic problems of the artistic heritage of the great poet. The proposed concept of the archetype of the poet can be used in university special courses and seminars when evaluating the reception creativity of writers.
