The article examines the female ironic detective as a form of socio-cultural commentary. Based on Darya Dontsova’s novel “Manicure for the Deceased”, the study analyzes how contemporary popular literature reflects social issues, gender roles, and cultural stereotypes. The author demonstrates that behind the light tone and humorous narration lie serious questions of morality, justice, and personal identity. Dontsova’s ironic detective is viewed not only as entertainment but also as a mirror of post-Soviet social consciousness, revealing the transformation of female characters and the evolution of cultural codes.
