Abstract

Abstract. Argumentative discourse plays an important role in shaping public opinion and decision-making in political communication of Kazakhstan.

The purpose of the study is to prove the importance of argumentation as an integral part of political discourse, focused on various aspects of political rhetoric in Kazakhstan.

We have used comparative analysis methods based on the classification of argumentative discourse and persuasive speech throughout the analysis provided in the article. The strategies of argumentative discourse used by politicians in Kazakhstan were subject to analysis, with an emphasis on their characteristics and impact.

The article provides analysis for argumentation and persuasive speech in the politics of Kazakhstan amongst open-source texts of speeches of Kazakhstani political figures.

There is multilingualism in Kazakhstani society and political discourse, based on which the interdependence and transmission of arguments and persuasion of people are presented taking into account ethno-cultural and linguistic characteristics. The article analyzes a variety of strategies, including working with arguments, moral values, rhetoric, personalization and contextual considerations.

In terms of practical application, the materials of the article can be used for a more extensive analysis as part of the study of the discursive consideration of argumentation in the multinational society of Kazakhstan.
