Abstract

Annotation. Since language is a historical category, its composition is replenished over time with new words, elements of borrowing from other languages. At the same time, the change of words in our language with the transition to the active and passive layers has a significant impact on the formation of vocabulary.

The article examines the etymology, frequency of use, semantic features of borrowed words found in the work "Shezhire-i terakime". Etymological analysis of the words found in the language of the work is carried out and classified into lexico-semantic groups. The morphological method of word formation, the peculiarities of the use of single-root words and word-forming suffixes are studied. In the course of the study, the place and meaning of borrowed words from Arabic and Persian languages in the vocabulary of the Kazakh language was noted. The etymological analysis of borrowed words is proved by examples. I focused on lexico-semantic features, phonetic features of input elements and analyzed them in the linguistic aspect. Comparative methods provide scientific conclusions regarding the use of words in the language of ancient texts and written monuments, the historical development of roots and appendages. In addition, statistics are given, the frequency of use of borrowed words in a historical work. The analysis of the linguistic units found in the work "Shezhire-i terakime" in the linguistic aspect is always important in determining the historical continuity between the Chagatai language and the Kazakh language.
