Abstract

The article analyzes scientific papers related to one of the new areas of linguistics – gender linguistics. The increase in the number of publications in the Scopus database from 1976 to 2023 confirms the relevance of the proposed topic. The aim of the work is to analyze trends and developments in the field of gender linguistics through a  systematic review of 1,093 scientific articles. The methodology involves collecting and analyzing data using SPSS to determine the growth of publications, as well as their geographical and industry distribution.

The theoretical significance of the study lies in expanding knowledge about the gender aspects of language and furthering understanding of the multidisciplinary nature of the field. Its practical significance is demonstrated through its contribution to the development of inclusive language practices and the promotion of a deeper awareness of gender issues in linguistics.

The study's results demonstrate a significant increase in publication activity in this field, highlighting the global and multidisciplinary interest in studying gender in linguistics. The findings indicate the need for further research to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of language on gender identities and to develop strategies that promote gender equality through language practices.
