This article comprehensively examines the household vocabulary of Turkic peoples from historical and cultural perspectives. Household vocabulary plays an important role as a reflection of everyday lifestyle, economic activities, traditions, and culture of the people. The origin and developmental features of linguistic units related to household vocabulary in Turkic languages are analyzed. Historical connections among Turkic peoples are revealed through common terms and various dialectal variants.
Based on ethnolinguistic data, the function of household vocabulary as a cultural code is characterized. The historical depth of the vocabulary is demonstrated through ancient written monuments and folklore materials. In addition, modern usage of lexical units and changes in their meanings are also considered.
The article provides a comparative analysis of linguistic materials of Turkic peoples, where similarities and differences in language units demonstrate the diversity of the Turkic worldview and lifestyle. Special attention is paid to the importance of household vocabulary in preserving cultural memory and ensuring generational continuity. The research findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the historical development of Turkic languages and their ethnic and cultural interactions.
