Abstract

The article discusses the problem of linguistic purity of the Kazakh language in the digital media. The relevance is due to the increasing influence of online media, social networks and user content on the linguistic norm, speech culture and language`s vitality. The purpose of the article is to identify ecolinguistic factors contributing to the preservation of the linguistic purity of the Kazakh language in digital media texts. The methodological basis of the research consists of the provisions of ecolinguistics, sociolinguistics and media linguistics. The empirical material includes texts from Kazakh-language online media and publications on social networks. The analysis revealed the main types of linguistic deviations: uncontrolled borrowings, hybridization, and spelling variation. The conclusion is made about the dual role of digital media, which simultaneously create risks for linguistic purity and act as a resource for maintaining the vitality of the Kazakh language.
