GENDER ASPECT OF THE IMAGE OF "WOMAN" IN TURKISH FOLKLORE

The article analyzes the gender aspect of the image of "woman" in Turkish folklore. Mothers occupy a special place in the Turkic world. The gender aspect in Turkish folklore was determined within the framework of mythology and religious foundations.
In literary studies, the process of studying the image of women has never gone unnoticed. The scientific article also covers the research of domestic, Russian and Turkish Turkologists, who are currently studying folklore studies, Turkish literature, including the image of a Turkish woman, her place in society.
The paper also examined the social place of women in ancient Turkish society, the high political and social value in Turkish culture. The story of korkyt Ata reflects the image of a woman, that is, the image of a woman as a guardian, protector of the family, as well as the heroic image of Turkish women. The place and importance of women in Turkish society during the Islamic period is determined by images.
As a result of the study, the image of "woman" in Turkish folklore was considered on a mythological and religious basis, and the gender model was determined. It was analyzed that the gender model in Turkish folklore was formed within the framework of social structures and social positions.
