Abstract

The research paper considers the methods of cohesion and retrospection in the discourse of linguistic personality and their manifestation in the text, their influence on logical, lexical, grammatical, syntactic integrity and communication, the reader's perception of the text content and the semantic meaning of the text. linguistic units, as well as determining the problems of accuracy of perception of the original author's idea. In order to determine the emergence of cohesion and retrospection methods, the literary and journalistic discourses of the writer Sherkhan Murtaza were taken as a case study in the research. In order to analyse these methods in specific texts and to recognise their functions in the whole text, the methods of selection, collection and control, synthesis, lexical analysis and comparison of examples were implemented.

Identifying the manifestation of the approaches of cohesion and retrospection in the discourse of linguistic personality on evidential examples achieved the results of recognising the practical application of theoretical findings, differentiating these approaches into forms of implementation and grammatical units in the text, identifying similar features and characteristics of cohesion and retrospection on the basis of specific texts, recognising the frequency of their application and internal forms and units.

The results obtained in the course of the research clarified the theoretical and practical significance of the work. The theoretical conclusions of the research within this topic have been analysed. By observing the approaches of cohesion and retrospection in the creation of texts of the writer's works taken as an example, the content and semantic tone, form, logical integrity of the author's final thought were selected from various linguistic units, and the decisive role of the discourse of linguistic personality in revealing the whole essence was analysed.
