Abstract

This article examines the artistic and genre system of Kazakh children's literature during the Alash period. The study analyzes the genre-specific features of works of Kazakh children's literature written in the early 20th century, including fables, poems, plays, examples of oral folk literature such as fairy tales, tongue twisters, riddles, as well as the genres of poems, prose, and short stories. The artistic structure of works in these genres, their role in national education, and their place in children's literature are systematically studied. The formation of the genre system of Kazakh children's literature during the Alash period, as well as the artistic tools and stylistic features, are explored in depth. Through literary works, the national values and cultural identity of the Kazakh people are revealed. Additionally, the unique characteristics of each genre in Kazakh children's literature are analyzed using methodological approaches, and the contributions of Alash period writers to Kazakh literary studies in revitalizing these genres are evaluated. The article is based on the opinions of children's literature researchers and draws conclusions accordingly. The development of the artistic system of Kazakh children's literature and its connection to national values are examined in detail.
