Abstract

The article examines the constitutive features of professional aviation discourse as one of the types of institutional discourse. The relevance of the topic is determined by the growing importance of aviation discourse, the necessity in the life of society and the need to consider this discourse in the dynamics of development. New characteristics are revealed, as a result of considering each feature of the discourse. In the article, professional discourse is considered as a product, a result of people's social activity, interaction between people and their cognitive processes. It is believed that professional discourse as a speech act proceeds differently and differs from ordinary speech acts.

The analysis of professional discourse involves the study of linguistic features, participation styles and participation practices characteristic of a particular professional field. The purpose of the analysis is to understand the nature of language use and the linguistic features of specialists in the process of carrying out professional activities. Moreover, the article describes some lexical, syntactic and phonetic features of professional discourse, which may indicate the practical significance of the article. The article examines a number of features of aviation professional discourse, and determines the special nature of aviation discourse. It is necessary to study these features of aviation discourse for effective communication.
