Abstract

The study of speech culture among university students is a complex and multifaceted work that includes linguistic, socio-cultural, psychological and technological factors. This work is based on the definition and clarification of the concepts of speech culture in тhe context of the University, attention to the factors influencing its development, analysis of the current level of speech culture of university students, identification of various problems and difficulties, strategic planning for the purpose of improvement. Improving the culture of speech is very important for the futеre professional for academic development and professional advancement. It is known that in compliance with the norms of oral communication, the correct speech of student youth at various events and in everyday life is discussed by society. Any linguist-researcher is concerned about the increase in a number of errors in the language of youth, such as incorrect use of phrases by young people, excessive use of words from dialects, Russian, other foreign languages, and the addition of slang words. In addition, many modern students have such problems as squinting in public speech, incorrect emphasis, lack of work with the tone of voice, incorrect use of nonverbal actions in speech. The refore, in the course of the study, the path to the formation of spe cific language skills of students, the path to improvement, and ways to combat mistakes were studied.
