Abstract

In literary studies, pop art is regarded as an important phenomenon in the evolution of art and culture. The aesthetics of pop art, formed during the postmodern era, reflects the spiritual needs of the contemporary individual and opens the door to a new artistic space within literature. This article examines the distinctive features of pop art representation in national prose, particularly in works written during the period of independence. It explores how the aesthetics shaped by the consumer civilization of modern times influence the inner world of literary characters, their worldview, and their relationship to material values. The symbolic meaning of material objects and their function in literary works are revealed in a poetic manner. Within the context of global culture, the unique coloration of pop art in Kazakh prose and its role in enriching artistic content are identified. In addition, the article considers the potential of pop art in literature to revitalize the aesthetic and spiritual space of both the individual and society.
