This article is dedicated to the analysis of DulatIsabekov's play "Eskertkish Operation," focusing on the use of absurdity and satire as key artistic methods. The play is a vivid example of how absurd situations and grotesque images help the author reveal the flaws of the Soviet bureaucratic system. Central to the research is the critique of formalism and pretentiousness that permeate the activities of party and administrative bodies of that time. Through the analysis of key characters, such as Zhanaidarov, the secretary of the district party committee, the author of the article uncovers how the bureaucratic machine suppresses individuality and leads to ineffective, often absurd decisions. Special attention is paid to the symbolism of the monument, which in the play becomes not only a symbol of superficial activity but also an object of absurd veneration. The monument in the play is not only a physical object but also a metaphor for the critique of Soviet ideology, which focuses on external achievements without real substance. The article also analyzes the satirical depiction of interactions between characters, including scenes where the real monument is replaced by a living person, intensifying the sense of absurdity and comedy. Thus, "Eskertkish Operation" is considered an important literary work that, through the lens of satire and absurdity, offers a deep social critique and reflection on Soviet reality.
