The modern Kazakhstani internet space is characterised by distinctive digital communication, in which a wide range of genres of internet discourse are developing. The relevance of the study is conditioned by the growth of digitalization, changes in communicative practices, and the increasing role of media platforms in social interaction.
The study employs descriptive-analytical methods and a user questionnaire survey. The empirical material includes data on the frequency of internet platform usage, as well as content from government portals, news websites, and social media platforms in Kazakhstan.
The obtained data made it possible to classify the main genres of Kazakhstani internet discourse, identify the features of their functioning, and determine the most in-demand platforms among users. The analysis revealed the dominance of informational genres, the active use of government resources, and the steady growth of social media.
The results confirm that Kazakhstan’s internet discourse has a mixed, multifunctional nature reflecting national linguocultural characteristics. The survey data complement the theoretical analysis by demonstrating actual user preferences and the dynamics of digital communication.
