Abstract

The article highlights the artistic legacy of the outstanding poet Magzhan Zhumabayev in the genre of poetry, examines the study, the history of writing, and the publication of the first work of this genre, the poem "Fairy Tale." The problem of folklore integrativity in the work is analyzed using examples. The image of the hero of folklore, Zheztyrnak, is revealed in the plot of the work. Along with zheztyrnak, the poem reflects the description of folklore characters such as diyu, fairy, demon, and Albasy. The idea of the work "Fairy Tale", which raised the genre of the poem to an artistic elevation in the Kazakh national written literature, is revealed in the aspect of the integrativity of folklore studies. As a result of the research, the author's goal in defining the image of a historical figure, Syzdyk Sultan, will be formulated. If it is shown that Zheztyrnak is an accumulated image of an enemy who brings evil to the Kazakh people and threatens them, then Syzdyk is an image of unshakeable dedication, brave character, pride, and an exalted spirit that does not deviate from the goal of life and fatherly well–being.
