The article is devoted to the study of the cognitive mechanisms of the functioning of term elements in the Kazakh scientific terminology. The relevance of this work is due to the need for a systematic understanding of the processes of scientific vocabulary formation and its cognitive organization, which is important for the development of scientific language and ensuring the semantic transparency of terms. The purpose of this study is to identify the cognitive principles and patterns of using term elements in the structure of Kazakh scientific terminology. The object of the study is Kazakh scientific terminology, and the subject of the study is the cognitive mechanisms that ensure the formation, interpretation, and structuring of term elements. The work uses methods of cognitive analysis, semantic and structural study of terms, as well as a systematic approach related to their classification and modeling of terminological relations. The research results show that term elements play a crucial role in the organization of terminological systems, which ensures the logical consistency, cognitive nature, and adaptability of scientific vocabulary. Based on the analysis, the patterns of formation of semantic fields and terminological series, as well as the principles of integration of international and national elements in Kazakh scientific terminology, have been identified. The scientific novelty of the work lies in a comprehensive cognitive approach to the study of terms, the determination of their role in the systematization of scientific vocabulary, and the identification of principles that ensure its semantic and functional effectiveness. The results obtained can be used for further development of terminology theory, improvement of term formation methods, and the practice of teaching scientific vocabulary.
